Royals defeat Mets in longest World Series opener

Eric Hosmer's sacrifice fly off New York Mets pitcher Bartolo Colon with the bases loaded and none out in the bottom of the 14th inning drove home Alcides Escobar to lift the hometown Kansas City Royals to a 5-4 win on Tuesday night.
