$8M ruling believed highest award ever for injury due to hockey violence

A Quebec Superior Court decision Tuesday that awarded $8 million to a 21-year-old man left paralyzed by an illegal hockey hit sends the message that checking from behind is "completely unacceptable," a lawyer for the man said.
